Our Visit to the City Library
On the 22nd of September Ms. Beckmann took our class on a little trip to the city library. We had the opportunity to go in before the usual visitors and received a guided tour from one of the library staff members.
On the tour we were able to see many different parts of the library. It turned out to be much larger than I had expected and had much more than just books. There was a wide variety of different language books and even a section containing vinyl records! In that section you could select an album and listen to it using headphones. There was also a piano which could be played with headphones. Did I mention the huge variety of movies they have that you can also borrow and watch there at the library on the computers?
They gave us 20 minutes to look around and explore on our own and they even gave us our own library cards.
We had a great time as a class and enjoyed spending time with Ms. Beckmann outside of our usual classroom setting.
The trip as a whole was interesting and pleasant, and we were glad to have the chance to go to the city library.
