Attending language school

All of the teachers were very friendly and well organised. I liked that each group had two different teachers every morning and I enjoyed the lessons because we learned a lot by playing games. I’m more confident now when it comes to speaking.

Karoline, 6C

I enjoyed our classes in the morning so much because we spoke English all the time and discussed my different topics about which we hadn’t thought before. The teachers were so nice and helped us with any problems that we faced. I think this experience is the best way to improve your English. If school was always like that, I would love going there every morning!

Living with a host family

To be honest, I didn’t expect staying with host families to be as great as it turned out to be! I recommend this experience to everyone because you meet new people and learn the language by talking to them. The food was delicious and healthy. And our host mother was very nice to us. I felt very comfortable staying with her.

Natalija, 6C

I think it was a good experience to stay with a host family because you have to speak English all the time. You also meet new people and we learned a lot about thr Scottish culture and everyday life in Edinburgh.

Sarah, 6C

I liked the idea of staying with a host family because we had someone to communicate with and improve our English. We also got to see how a couple of Scottish families live and learned about differences in their everyday life compared to our Austrian one.

Karoline, 6C

Our host mother liked us very much. She woke us up at half past seven every morning and prepared toast and cereals for breakfast. Being a mother of three children, one boy and two girls, and looking after her old cat, she is an amazing woman of about 50 years with pink hair! One night we even had haggis at her place! We are still in touch with her.

Eva, 6C

Edinburgh

AMAZING! I love the buildings. I could see that this city inspired J.K.Rowling to write her books. I even saw her house! Also, the people were very kind in Edinburgh – I’d totally recommend visiting Edinburgh!

Antonie, 6C

I think Edinburgh is a good destination for a language trip because the city is beautiful! The sea is right next to it and the beautiful buildings allow for lots of sightseeing. The only minor disadvantage is that some people have a very strong Scottish accent and you don’t understand a word of what they’re saying.

Sarah, 6C

Edinburgh is pretty cool because all the people there are really friendly and polite. Sometimes, however, it was difficult to communicate with some people because they have a strong Scottish accent which is quite difficult to understand. But Edinburgh is a beautiful city!

Iris, 6C

Edinburgh is a great city because you can address anyone in the street and they will take their time to answer and help you. The culture we experienced is awesome!

Eva, 6C

I think Edinburgh is a good city for a language trip! In my opinion, there isn’t another place as good as this one for practising your English!
